Compliance & Export Credentials

Supporting eligible New Zealand honey exports through traceable supply, verified testing and market-specific documentation pathways.

Honey Products New Zealand Export Limited supports the export of New Zealand honey through traceable, compliant and market-appropriate export pathways.

We work with New Zealand honey producers, MPI-registered operators, approved packing facilities, independent laboratories, freight partners and destination-market importers to coordinate the correct pathway for each shipment.

Every shipment is reviewed on a country-by-country and order-by-order basis to ensure the correct supplier, facility, testing, certification and documentation pathway is used before order confirmation.

MPI Registered Exporter

Honey Products New Zealand Export Limited is registered with the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries as an Animal Products Exporter.

This registration allows us to support eligible New Zealand honey exports and coordinate MPI export certification or official assurances where required by the destination market.

For buyers, this means we can manage the New Zealand-side export process, including supplier traceability, documentation coordination, laboratory testing where required, and export certification support through the correct MPI pathway.

Final export eligibility is confirmed based on honey type, product format, supplier/RMP pathway, destination market and importer requirements

We can support Saudi Arabia and wider GCC honey enquiries through appropriate New Zealand export pathways, including Saudi-listed New Zealand establishments where required.

Final eligibility depends on the product format, packing facility, importer clearance process and destination-country requirements.

  • EU TRACES NT Registration

Honey Products New Zealand Export Limited is registered in TRACES NT for honey and apiculture products.

This supports EU export documentation for eligible New Zealand bulk honey and is verifiable through the official TRACES NT public establishment directory.

Final EU export eligibility is confirmed per shipment based on honey type, facility pathway and importer requirements.

  • Asia & Other Markets

For Japan, Southeast Asia and other markets, we can coordinate export pathway checks, documentation support and market-specific testing requirements for bulk New Zealand honey.

The buyer/importer is responsible for confirming local import approval, food authority clearance, import permits and any destination-specific requirements before shipment.

Certification & Support Documentation

Where required, additional certification or support documentation can be coordinated based on the product format, supplier pathway, buyer requirements and destination market.

  • Halal Certification Available on Request

Halal certification can be coordinated for bulk honey where required, subject to the final facility pathway, certifying body and destination-country requirements.

  • Organic Certification Available on Request

Organic-certified bulk honey may be available on request, subject to supplier availability, certification status and destination-market requirements.

  • Origin & Non-GMO Support Documentation

New Zealand honey benefits from the country’s strict controls around genetically modified organisms and its highly traceable agricultural supply chain.

Where required, we can support buyer audits with supplier declarations, country-of-origin documentation, chain-of-custody information and full product traceability records.

Third-party Non-GMO certification can be reviewed if specifically required by the buyer, retailer or destination market.
